Recently, Burgi Dad and I
facilitated the St. Pete Pier
Aquarium's GeoCaching Beach Bash. Basically, it was a GXing 101
class. This was the second or third time both our eagle-eyed,
spotter-daughter, CSI Crue (that’s Cache Scene Investigator
Crue to you)
, and long-time GXing friend, GatorBruce
, came to serve as our real-life
examples that GXing is a multi-generational equal opportunity
hobby/obsession, offering something for everyone.
GatorBruce and CSI Crue, sweet
spirits
One of the last caches visited, placed temporarily
for the class, was called Outstanding In
The Field, because we wanted each of our students to
feel they were outstanding… and they were! Afterwards, in
our closing Q & A session, it was actually GatorBruce
who answered the most questions. That
in itself was pretty outstanding! So, here we are, placing the same
cache in its permanent location with just a slight change in name
and description.
Talked to Park Ranger K
about this cache and she knows GXers
will respect the area’s natural environment, if not make it
better than we found it. No bushwhacking required.
While searching for this cache, be aware of GeoMuggles and other
curious eyes. Your best bet is to act like you're taking pictures.
Nothing else but CITOing will deflect a curious GeoMuggle's
attention quicker than that.
Park Admission Fees as of 10/1/2009:
$8.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle.
$4.00 Single Occupant Vehicle.
$2.00 Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in

~~ Have a blessed day. Happy caching. ~~
