Cache Placement for the Event

We are asking all local cachers to place at least two caches and the following restrictions will apply. Cache must be placed within the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. No Micro caches are allowed. Winter friendly caches are favoured, but not required. Use the Prefix --Sept29-- before your cache name, and add a note to reviewer, Please do not release till September 29, 2007 for the Cape Breton Celtic Caching Event. After your cache has been approved ( still not listed yet ), please email to the MineRP the GC.Com Waypoint Number, Name and Coordinates, so a list can be compiled for the Event morning. NOTE : Cache Agent will change the --Sept29-- to **Sept29** once it has been checked and OKed, this allows her to keep track and will be put out on the Event Evening.
On Friday, September 28, you should go into edit and redate all your cache placements dates to September 28. This will allow them to show up as new caches on GC.Com.

Local Geocachers are asked to bring a small appropriate swag item for the childrens cache, if possible. Thank You

For the Poker Run, FIVE of the Event Caches will contain a packet of cards. Take only ONE card per cache, and try to make the highest poker hand. Hopefully you will find all five caches during the day, but it is not necessary because you could win with fewer if your 3 or 4 card hand is best.

Sunday Event

It has been proposed to have a " Hike in the Highlands " to round out the weekend. One suggested travel is the set of four caches:

Cape Clear GCH2KC
Second Fork Brook Falls GCXK2G
Martha Brook Falls GC128BX
and
Sugarloaf Mountain GC14ZHV

This will be a tough go, so you can do as many or as few as you decide. Very few will have done these caches, so here is your chance for glory, and the honour of Geocaching in general. I can take some bodies in my truck for this one as required, and likly will stop somewhere in Baddeck for supper, if anyone survives........

MineRP, Stang, Hershey and Whiskey have siged on so far for this hike. This can also work out for mainlanders, can get on their way home. We will be turning onto the Cabot Trail, off the TCH at Nyanza and onto the highlands wood roads. Hope to leave fairly early Sunday morning. Interested person see the Miner on Saterday. Can make arrangements for a location to meet, best to travel in a group over these roads in case of vehicle difficulties.

Or if people want one closer to the Sydney area, I have a few nice Coastal Hiking sets around the Baleine/Main a Dieu/Fourche/Louisbourg areas. There are also lots of caches along the Louisbourg highway and in Louisbourg. The choise is yours..

Please make your intentions known.
