A portion of the west end of this island has a group campsite (dock, picnic tables, grills, and a biff). It has been closed as a camp site, but I do not know if this is permanent. The east end of the island is undeveloped and this is where the cache is hidden.
This is the third in a series of island caches placed south of the river. The terrain rating will be easier in the winter. Make sure the ice is safe. A life jacket is a good idea year-round.
No motor boats allowed on this lake, but there are canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats can be rented for 3 to 6 dollars per half hour.

There is an eagle's nest on the island. Paddle to this coordinate N 44° 41.616 W 093° 23.603 and you will have the best view of the nest.
