This cache is located high in Big Cottonwood canyon at 9443 feet. You can follow some of the now closed 4 wheel drive trails (Do they really have to close ALL of them!!!) to the cache which is in the pines on an eastern slope. We had the pleasure of seeing a small buck in velvet placing this cache. The hill side is a little steep, but I and my 4 year old son had no trouble walking to it in a short time.
The cache is in a standard size ammo can with various stickers on it. It also has some cammo tape on it, so look closely. At the time it was placed this cache had some fun items in this cache for the outdoors type, and all are new in the package. There's a pair of cammo hunting gloves, a couple of fishing lures, a brass Coleman matchbox, a 220 Swift keychain, a Coleman backpacker salt and pepper shaker, a stainless steel 14 function knife, a Hotwheels car and a Matchbox snowmobile. Also there are 3 packages of vacuum packed wooden kitchen matches.
