Short but steep hike to WP1 where we've placed coordinates for the Final. Theoretically winter accessible but quite dangerous in icy conditions. WP1 will be tough to find with snow down.
Update November 1, 2008. Placed third container - this time I used a small tupperware. Please replace with care!
Update June 7, 2008. Original was muggled - replaced container today, please make sure you hide EXACTLY as found. Casual replacement will leave the cache in plain sight and this is an area that gets a few parties.
Coordinates of final on June 7, 2008 (100 point average) were +0.06 N and -0.03 W from coordinates shown in WP1.
Parking on Route 141 just South of the Log Cabin. Off road parking across from trailhead. Alternate approaches from the ski area or the M-M Trail are possible but not recommended due to the much longer hike. The proposed path is short but steep, Final location has somewhat difficult terrain and likely not suitable for small children (they can stay safely within 50 feet of cache).
Neither WP1 nor the Final are in plain site but should not be too difficult to find. Final is a regular sized lock-n-lock. You will benefit from a flashlight for the final.
Caution: In wet conditions this hike can be quite treacherous. The final location is winter accessible but terrain can be very difficult! Use your judgement, the mountain is steep.
