Cache is located at Brookridge Park along the Little Kickapoo Creek on the South East side of Bloomington, IL. Bring the kids a long for this kid oriented cache then let them play on the cool nearby park equipment.
See attached Dino Hunting License for the kids that could be printed ahead of time.
This cache is placed by geocacher, GYOI. It is placed in honor of the SFEA Outdoor Club that I belong. This club is why I’m into geocaching. They own two units that the different members may checkout. I’ve started using them a few years ago for hiking and canoe trips. Later someone in the club told me about Geocaching. Today I’m teaching others about GPS units and placing my own caches.
In this regular size container are stuffed many items. Among these items is a supply of numerous authentic looking Dinosaur Hunting License and a mixture of 2 inch dinosaurs of different types. These two items were obtained by the club in which I belong for the kids who seek this hidden treasure. No trading needed for the license, but do trade for the dinosaurs and other items within the container. See attached picture of license and the little dinosaurs.
The Dinosaur Hunting License where provide to the SFEA Outdoor Club from Dinosaurland in Northeastern Utah (www.dinoland.com). Looks like they have a lot of cool outdoor related stuff to do. Check out their top 10 list.
9/4/2014 Update: The cache was replaced on this day. With the two of the 5 trees now missing you'll need extra stealth as you search. ALSO due to lack of cover you'll have to be sure to return to the "NEST" I created to better hide from muggles.
5/1/2015 Update: Same regular size geoacache container from when last replaced but moved to slight different coordinate due to “cover” from hiding from the “dinosaurs” (muggles) being a challenge. Also reloaded wit swag.
12/04/2015: Replaced MIA cache and reloaded with new swag and new dino lic. PLEASE be mindful and return to the EXACT location, which should good enough to protect from flood water compared to before. One good entry point to reach.
NOTE: Please replace EXACTLY how it was found to keep it safe from hunters without a license (“muggle”). Care was taken to make sure the cached blends in with natural surroundings from different angle of approach. Enjoy the hunt.
