Geocache Description:

HEY IF IT'S HUNTING SEASON... DO YOU HAVE YOUR BLAZE ORANGE ON.

With Cashekickers kind permission to 'add on', this is the fourth cache in a series to introduce you to key points along the "OLD COACH ROAD" that runs across the Chebucto Peninsula between Harrietfield to Glen Margaret on the St. Margaret’s Bay.

We were introduced to the Old Coach Road by Cashekicker and the Old LZ, and since we have been exploring this area fascinated by the different terrain, foliage and the abundance of wildlife.

For this one you can approach from several directions.

The best, if conditions are dry is to approach following the points given to the LZ. (WPs added here to help you along) Except at Track Point #4 continue strait along the Old Coach Road. Close to the cache you'll see another trailhead going north. This is the Green Head Road from Lakeside. We were introduced to this by Fishing Fanatic and the Nova Scotia Fish Species.

The other, slightly more challenging route is to come down the Green Head Road, parking near the black and yellow gate at the bottom of the ramp on the 103 Exit 3 eastbound. Please be careful and watch the traffic on the highway, there is a good deal of room to park but make sure you have enough time to get up to speed pulling out. Once you enter the trail there are a few caches you’ll pass, including an excellent multi cache, Nova Scotia Fish Species by fishing fanatic. As you follow the trail you’ll cross onto a gravel road and part of the Otter Lake Landfill site, no worries no smell, just stay to the left and beware of any equipment moving along the road. Next you’ll see another trailhead to the left that leads to the Old LZ Stay right and continue to a sharp left turn on the gravel and a trailhead straight ahead (note: gravel ends just to the left) and continue strait. You’ll get there eventually.

Cache is a Camoed Pail with the normal swag items and a FTF Certificate, tried to get some Timmy Coupons for coffee but they were sold out, so there’s something to help cafinate the FTF’s body once out of the woods.

Thanks again to Cashekicker for letting me add to the series and and Fishing fanatic for introducing us to these trails, Happy Chaching everyone.
