This is an urban cache hidden in a little used corner of Mission Bay park. It's easy to get to and suitable for the whole family. You don't need to jump any fences. There are a few obscure trails but you still may want to wear long pants. No bushwacking necessary. The area is not overly scenic but if you go in the evening or morning you will encounter lots of birds and may see various small ground animals such as squirrels, rabbits and snakes.
Cache is a gallon size, white container with a red lid and contains, among other things, various trinkets & treasures from Elena's home country of Costa Rica. The grand prize goes to the first coffee lover to find the cache. It's something that we know will be of interest to you early risers. Also included in the contents:
- log book and pencils
- a small collection of Costa Rican coins
- a leather desk top gadget holder from (you guessed it), Costa Rica
- a small ceramic campesino hat
- a translucent calculator
- a new pair of sunglasses
- bandaids
- a glitters and glue set
- 2 seashells (guess where from)
- a child's sesame street toothbrush
- some 2 for 1 local restaurant coupons (expire early Sept.)
- some coupons for free frozen drinks at 7-11 (expire end of October)
We also included a baggie with some grocery store plastic bags inside. If you should come across any garbage on the way in, feel free to use one of the bags to remove it on your way out. We left the cache well concealed so please let us know if heavy use should cause concealing it to become more of a problem. Thanks.
