While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. We feel that this cache has been disabled for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable for the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Geocache Description:

Located in the small town of Painesdale, MI at the local high school.

This cache is located in the small town of Painesdale, Mi and is located near the local high school. This cache is basically a drive up, however, you will probably need to "step up" in order to find the cache. This should be quite obvious. You will see what I mean when you get there. If you are in this neck of the woods, be sure to check out the Champion Mine cache located only a few hundred feet South.

The name of this cache comes from the mascot of the local high school, the Jeffers Jets. This is a small container thats transparent, with a blue lid, only big enough for a log book, and small items.

Take time to check out the school, its unique Jacobsville Sandstone really gives this school character, and its a beautiful building, at least in my opinion. If you head behind the building, you get a spetacular view overlooking the Huron Mountains and Chassell Bay, but trees get in the way in the heart of summer.
