Wayfarer's Walk is a long distance path which starts at Inkpen
Beacon, this is also an end point of The Test Way. It is close to
the site of Combe Gibbet and follows a meandering route to
Emsworth, some 70 miles distant. The path starts in Berkshire, but
most of it is in the county of Hampshire. The path runs close to
the highest points in both Berkshire and Hampshire as witnessed by
the nearby trig points. Parts of the walk can get muddy and deeply
rutted whereas other parts are an easier terrain. I hope you enjoy
the wonderful views from this scenic path.
Please note that none of the caches require that you climb over
fences other than by stiles. Also be aware of any electrified
fences.
This cache gets it's name from that of a nearby residence. It is
what one might call an up market pre-fab. It is made by the German
Company of Huf Haus. The stunning design I think befits this
stunning location. The cache site is a bit overgrown and please
watch out for the partially hidden slope. If walking on from here
to the Coles Wood cache, note that the Wayfarer's Walk is unusually
along a piece of road. Therefore please take care; although when
placing the caches in the evening I didn't have a single car pass
me.
