Come on down, up or over to celebrate USAFSP's 1K event. There are over 250 caches in the Rocky Mount area to be worked. Over 30 new caches have been put out for this event.
USAFSP began geocaching while on vacation in Maine last July 2006 and made his first find on 26 July 2006, Patty's Mount Battie Cache. He was hooked and has even gotten the rest of his family involved in the sport and you will find Team P listed on many caches. Team P consists of USAFSP, NCSpacegirl, Becca27804 and Taylor27804.
Balancing the job as co-owner of a thriving tire dealership, recently retired from the US Air Force active reserves and being an assistant scout master of a Boy Scout Troop the team found time to cache. The 1K mark came on 18 July while on vacation near Wilmington.
Along the way he has contributed to the fun and success of geocaching in the area with his usetobe caches.
Join us at the Western Sizzlin Steakhouse on Wesleyean Blvd across from Golden East Mall on Sunday 12 Aug 2007 at 530 PM. Meet with other geocachers to swap tales, tips, hints and suggestions on geocaching. There will be some extra caches hidden around Rocky Mount for the occasion. Come on down.
