T.A.R.- L. #4-H ROADBLOCK - Bus Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

datafish: Although the cache was hidden in an old public bus stop, it appears that it is now private property. Therefore, I have decided that I will be archiving this cache. Please note that this was a detour to the race and is not needed to solve the solution. Please continue to the other roadblock. I will alter the site to reflect this change.

Thank you to all of the people who tried this cache. The cache was a bison tube located waist-high in the sill of the missing window to the left side (window above the electrical box).

Thank you,
- Datafish

Congratulations to Cacheuman on being the only person to find this cache while it was active.

ROADBLOCK: You have chosen to take the bus! Although harder to locate, you hope to save precious time and pull ahead of the other teams! Good luck!

THE AMAZING RACE!

Welcome to The Amazing Race – Lenoir County, NC (T.A.R. – L)!  This is a series of geocaches that is roughly based on the CBS Television program, “The Amazing Race”.  On the show, teams race around the globe solving puzzles and performing tasks in order to get to the final finish line. At each leg of the race, the last team to arrive is eliminated from the race. In this version, teams will race around parts of Lenoir County in an effort to gather clues which will lead you to the final elimination station.

This is the 4th leg of the race. If you have not complete the previous ones, please start at the beginning . Additionally, all rules for the race can be found here .

SPECIAL NOTES:

  1. Although you do not necessarily have to do all of the geocaches in order,  it adds an excitement and spirit to the game, and will help you from doing to much back tracking.
  2. While this is a race, I expect everyone to be safe and abide all laws (including speed limits)
  3. This race is intended to take you around areas of Lenoir County. While I stayed on Highways as much as possible, there are several back roads in the race which connect highways.
  4. Each leg of the race will have a section on the web site called "Route Info". This area is used to note anything special about that particular geocache.
  5. Except for the detours, all of the cache in the race are meant to be easily found (level 2 and under). This is to keep the race moving quickly and smooth.
  6. You will need to gather clues from each leg of the race in order to discover the location of the elimination station (the finish line)

Note:  This series is dedicated to Bahama97, who continues to inspire all of the cachers in our area with her dedication to the hobby. Thank you!

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE A SAFE RACE

NOTES CONCERNING THIS LEG OF THE RACE: LEG #4
