When you walk along the trails of Manuels River, you will notice a beautiful flower called Blue Flag Iris. Over 30 different species of wild flowers grow along the edge of the river or under the forest canopy. These include yarrow, thistle, sheep laurel, wild mint, and goldenrod.
The cache is located in Manuels River Linear Park is located in the Town of Conception Bay South, just a short drive from St. John’s. It’s one of the oldest river systems in North America, approximately 14km long, and runs from Thomas Pond to Conception Bay. The park's trail system meanders for over 5 km along one of the most picturesque river valleys in eastern Newfoundland. The main entrance is located adjacent to the Chalet on Route 60, just West of Manuels River Bridge
