This is a multi-cache which requires photo's to qualify as a find. When posting the photos please make sure it is under 250 kb each and includes yourself or your GPSr in the picture. Please send picture to me via email at the address on the cache card inside the cache.
On the R XYZ road to Volksrust from Vrede, you come across a shop. At this shop there is something that once was cheap that they no longer sell. This is part of the clue to the final cache. Take the price of this item R (A.BC) and a photo of the item. Follow the road a bit further on and you will reach a bridge over a river. Take another photo this time of the river. Now carry on up the road about 5 kilometers. Turn right at the road to Kalfery (Unsure about the spelling). The cache is along the road at the base of a tree under some rocks. Beware of muggles there are a few rural houses round. To get the co-ordinates of the final cache take the price at the shop. A = Rands, BC = Cents. Read it as cents. The route that the shop is on = R (XYZ). Now take those values and do the following math:
ABC - 281 = SSS and XYZ + 17 = EEE
The final co-ordinates are then:
S 27° 21.SSS
E 29° 31.EEE
Once you have found this cache carry on down the road and through the valley past the little settlement. To the right you will see the Roodedraai school. Carry on with the road up the hill again. Can be a little bumpy but travelled slowly you can make it up easily with a car. You eventually come to a turnoff to a farm called Roodedraai. This is where another cache is situated at the Roodedraai Museum. An amazing collection of Boer war memorabilia can be viewed here.Well Worth the visit.
