Potentially quick cache at Glenbuchat Castle.
Glenbuchat Castle was built in 1590 by John Gordon and his wife, Helen Carnegie to mark the occasion of their marriage. It belonged to the Gordons until 1738 when John Gordon, the prominent Jacobite, sold it to Lord Braco, later Earl of Fife.
It was gifted to the nation in 1948 and is now maintained by Historic Scotland.
It would just about be possible to find the cache without seeing the castle, but a short trip up the hill is well worth it. To get into the castle go through the kissing gate, across the field, around the side/back and through a small gate, then continue round to the left. See who can get to the top platform first - there are nice views from there!
The cache itself is big enough for geocoins, but not much else.
