Wolf Branch Creek Nature Preserve is well worth seeing. Just east of E.G. Simmons Park, the area was extensively dredged 20 to 30 years ago. Now Mother Nature once again rules the land which is heavily influenced by the tides.
We were excited to see mollusks, that we had only previously seen as shells, moving about in the shallow water . Maybe some more informed geocacher who follows us in this special area can identify the species.
The paths weave in and out around the water. If you enjoy fishing or crabbing, this might be a good spot to ply your skills. The special cache is in a camoed pouch. To open it, unzip the bottom, extract the cache, press the button on top to open and sign the log. Please replace as you found it. This is a truly timeless cache.
There is a trash container at the entrance gate. It appears that fisherman are not a neat as geocachers so bring a trash bag.
