MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of Western MA Pocket Park #8 to find out about the status of this cache on September 7, 2009. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

Continuing our tradition of stealing great ideas from other places that we've gone caching, we are proud to present the Western MA Pocket Park series.

One of the best aspects of living here in western MA is the wonderful mix of rural, suburban and urban landscapes. And in every urban and suburban area are pocket parks, isolated oases of green surrounded by asphalt and brick, memorials to half-forgotten local heroes, old ballfields and broken basketball courts. Every city has places like these.

This series is for them.

The eighth cache in this series brings you to Dana Park, not far from the Springfield line. This park has two ballfields, a small playground, water playscape, and has an impressive amount of open space for such a small park. Parking is available only on the street, but there is plenty of it on two sides. The container is Baby #3, taken from the SpringVille - 3 -- Baby Machine #1 (GC14EGX), and we thank Iceburger for helping expand this series. We covered the 35mm canister in camo to help keep it hidden.

This park is often busy, so watch for muggles. Please rehide carefully, as always.
