This cache is a short hike from the Canfield trail parking area off of Fernan Lake road.
Take trail 10 from the parking lot. Shortly after the concrete barriers there is a trail that goes down to the left and crosses the creek. It is a well traveled trail through a field of Yarrow. Much of the Yarrow is shoulder high! It's one of my favorite plants. I hiked in when placing the cache. Motorcyclists will probably find another way to the cache area. Right now in the middle of summer the creek isn't much more than a trickle. I imagine in other seasons it could be more challenging to get to the cache area. I don't know how wide the creek area is in the spring. You may have to go around and approach it another way. There is a short scramble uphill, bush whacking along the way to get to the cache.

A request was made to let cachers know if ATVs are appropriate. ATV traffic is not appropriate. Canfield is a single track dirt bike area, also used by hikers and mountain bikers. Please respect one of the only trail systems that are for two wheeled only. The cache is an easy walking distance from the parking lot.
