Geocache Description:

"Vertigo" is located at a little known West Tiger Mountain viewpoint.

This cache is hopefully the first of a few Alfred Hitchcock themed caches.

Vertigo, filmed in the San Francisco area, was released in 1958 and many film buffs consider it Hitchcock's finest work, though his personal favorite was "Shadow of a Doubt," filmed in 1943 in Santa Rosa, California.

In the film, James Stewart's character, a detective who is afraid of heights, becomes obsessed with Kim Novak's character, a woman who may or may not be playing a role to confuse the detective. His fear of heights plays a significant part in the movie, and I hope will not play a part in your ability to retrieve this cache.

The cache is an ammo box, with a log and a few trinkets. There are two First to Find cash prizes; one for adults and one for those 18 or under. Claimed! Great job by a mom and 3 little ones!!

The Poo Poo Point trail is a good one to start on, and will get the cacher pretty close. Then it's off on a game trail for the final search.

This location has a great view to the west and south and is at about 1170' elevation. Mount Rainier is visible on a clear day.
