Where (almost) No Man Has Gone Before . . . Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Paklid: I'm picking up this container today.
Maybe I'll restore it for a future placement or maybe I won't. It's gotten a little ragged though and needs a plumber.

Geocache Description:

This cache used to be a puzzle cache paying homage of a sort to a great science fiction franchise. The puzzle had any non-trekers out there needing to research several Star Trek species to come up with coordinates. I decided to scrap the puzzle and make this a traditional cache instead. The container and location are identical to before.

In fact, I'm not even changing the log sheet - so the first to log this "new cache" won't get that fresh and clean log sheet to scribble FTF on. If you found it before and want to "find" it again, feel free to visit and enter another "captain's log" - I'm sure nobody will raise a stink over that.

If you didn't visit before because you have a visceral dislike for puzzle caches, here's a straight up cache in the best park in the south metro. One other note, Dakota County actively manages Lebanon Hills and in the course of doing so, they do change which trails are accessible to hikers. This cache is not far off a major hiking trail that is not likely to close, even so.. pay attention to the trail signs. If a trail is closed to hikers, it will be well marked.

Here is the famous starship that ferried the enterprising Jim, Spock, and Bones on their journeys across the galaxy.

Ah, the boys. Photogenic, aren't they...

And now for something completely different.
In the sequel series (Star Trek, The Next Generation) we met the Pakleds. The handsome creature pictured below is a Pakled. They bumble through the galaxy "looking for things". That's sort of my cachin' style, so I adopted their name as my own. Unfortunately, I didn't know how to spell Pakled, so Paklid I be.
