Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden at a scenic viewpoint on the Canadian Mt. Everest Expedition Trail at Kananaskis Lakes. This 2.4KM loop is fairly easy inspite of 122m elevation gain due to its excellent hiking path ans stairs. For those that are reasonably fit a nice 30 minute forest loop with great views. The cache is in a "happy face" tupperware container hidden close to the viewing platform at the top of the hill.

This is the fourth cache in the "GET OUT" series with a goal of getting people out into the mountains to enjoy the scenery, fresh air, exercise, and spend time with friends and family.

The Canadian Mt. Everest Expedition Trail used to be caled Interlakes Trail and was renamed in 1984 to honour the successful Canadian expedition of 1982 led by Bill March which put 2 men on the summit of Everest. A beautiful forest stroll will lead you up a hill/ridge to a viewing platform to see Upper Kananaskis Lakes and surrounding peaks. Information signs and benches dot the path to make your search even more memorable.

GET OUT...and enjoy!
