This cache is located near the Chabot Science Center, noted for its telescope exhibits and IMAX theater. It is also at the start of the Redwood Trail in the Redwood Regional Park of the Oakland Hills, arguably the SF Bay Area's most lovely hiking area.
This trailhead leads to a number of other geocaches, including GCG1NG, GC10AZW, GCD87D, GC14PXM and GC14PXN.
The cache is a simple magnetic container.
