PLEASE do not trample the surrounding areas. If you need help,
send an email. Let's keep this park in great condition! The few
steps required off the established trail are minimal, and should
not cause lasting damage if we all take care to be respectful of
the State Park. Be mindful of where you place your feet, and
replace what you may overturn in your searches.
My better half and I have been reading the Harry Potter series
for some time now, and we have finished the seventh, and final,
book in the series. We have been reading books aloud to each other
for a while, and we had been anticipating doing the same with "The
Deathly Hallows". In the wee hours of the morning we arrived to buy
our copy. We read until we fell asleep, then woke in the morning to
read some more. We checked online and found some new caches, and
decided to drive toward the coast to read and geocache--two of our
favorite activities!
Now you have the opportunity to hunt a cache that we decided to
place in honor of the park containing the first cache we hunted
while reading the last Harry Potter book. Take some time in this
park; there are some other caches, many great hiking and biking
trails, and plenty of camping if you decide to overnight.
You'll be looking for a camo-taped lock-n-lock container,
labeled as a geocache inside and out. Original contents were a
Livestrong bracelet, a fun 3-piece container (perfect for your own
micro), 3 new die cast cars, a first aid kit, an emergency
radio/flashlight, Salmon pamphlet, a geocoin, a TB and a new Red
Jeep TB. So, bring a book, enjoy the cache and this wonderful new
park within reach of the Portland metro area!
This cache has been adopted by Trivial Pursuits! Thanks a
bundle!
