Cache is located in Lake Poinsett Cemetery. Easy terrain, short walk from parking.
Medium size lock-n-lock, should be an easy find.
There is a headstone nearby engraved in a foreign language. If anyone can tell me what language it is, I am curious to know.
Lake Poinsett was named for Joel Poinsett who was an American statesman, physician and botanist. He was appointed the first American minister to Mexico in 1825. He visited the area of southern Mexico and discovered what was later to become known as the poinsettia. He sent samples of the plant home to the States and by 1836 the plant was most widely known as the "poinsettia."
