Geocache Description:

This is a cache on the Badger State Trail, a newly opened bike trail that will eventually connect Madison with Freeport, IL. There are a number of scenic spots along the trail and I wanted to tempt you to come see them.

I would encourage doing this by bike. This is an easy ride from the current trailhead on Purcell Road (N 43 56.604, W 089 28.904). If you are coming on foot, picking up the trail where it crosses Henry Road (N 42 54.714, W 089 30.745) may be your best bet. Please approach the cache along the trail. If you are going cross country you will need to cross private lands and the sides of the trail are quite steep in places.

The terrain was rated 2.5 because of the length of the hike, if you are doing this by foot. This is much easier, if you are biking.

The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Steve Johnston of the Wisconsin DNR. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager.
