Some geocachers have made caches that are easy to get to, but very hard to find the actual container.
I am doing just the opposite. My multi-cache containers, will be easy to find, but getting to them will be, just a little more challenging. There will be no “paved trail” or Yellow Brick Road, but you shouldn’t walk away with a DNF either. You will have to bushwhack, but not very much. I put the terrain at a 3. Depending on your route, this could be as easy as a 2, but as with anything, it could turn out to be a 5. Choose Wisely or Choose Poorly it is your decision!
I hid this cache with the help of my children, so it is very safe and fun and just evil enough for me to get my jollies.
Please do not post any blatant spoilers. We all love to hear the sob stories as much as the successes, so I will delete anything that I think will take the fun out of this cache (for me!).
The start is along a wooded section on Rt 209/199 in the Town of Ulster. It is very near the Kingston/Rhinecliff Bridge. There is a nearby parking lot at N41 58.613 W73 58.267
This is a 3 part multi-cache with a 2 quart screw-top container as the final. Because this cache is more of the adult variety, I have included some nicer trade items. There are a couple of items for kids too, if they choose to make the journey. Please Trade-up or Trade-even and don’t be greedy.
Contents started as: Laser Pointer, 2 LED flashlights, LED clip-on light (batteries installed), deck of cards, yo-yo’s, markers and more. There is also a FTF trophy for the first-to-find cacher.
Be sure to put the containers back the way you found them. They should not be hard to find for the cacher, but not be seen by muggles. If you can’t find these containers, you are trying too hard. If you still can’t find these containers, they are either missing or you should take up some other hobby.
