Astral Pool, Bowithick Traditional Cache

A fairly quick cache in a lovely part of Bodmin Moor which can easily take in other nearby caches
The car park co-ordinates are N 50° 36.911 W 004° 34.153 which is by the Penpont river. Ample free parking by the ford. Follow the track along towards Buttern Hill and you will then need to branch off to you left to find the cache.
The cache is by a small river and pool which someone has signposted Astral Pool. If any body knows why perhaps they could let me know. Thanks to Flying Pasties the pool is named after a local dog that used to walk up and swim in the pool, thanks for the info
Can get a bit boggy after heavy rainfall, but was firm and dry when I set it.
This is a favourite spot for my kids who love bringing their bikes here and having a dip in the pool followed by a BBQ/picnic.
A nice easy cache. Not many rocks in the vicinity of the co-ordinates so should be a quick easy find. Once you have found it you might be tempted by the Buttern Hill cache set by Gribbin. Its over that big hill behind you!
