Tämä on minun ja kurnuttajan yhteistyön tulosta ja ensimmäinen kätkömme! Kätkössä on kolme osaa: kaksi ensimmäistä ovat laskutehtäviä, jotka vievät varsinaiselle kätkölle eli Sammakkolammelle. Lopullinen kätkö on 1,5 litran kokoinen lila jäätelörasia.
Kätkö ja sitä edeltävät tehtävät suositellaan ratkaistavaksi pyörällä, kävellen tai hyppykepillä. Autollakin pääsee, jos ei kunto kestä (reissu on yhteensä kuutisen kilsaa). Gummisaappaat sekä tabletti korkeanpaikankammoa vastaan kannattanee pakata mukaan.
1. koordinaatit vievät sinut Varasvuoren hyppyrimäen laelle, hyppytornin portaiden alapäähän. Kun kipuat maasta asti ylimmälle portaalle, montako askelmaa sinun pitää nousta (tasanteet lasketaan mukaan)? HUOM! Ihan ylös asti (hyppytelineelle).
Lisää alkuperäisten pohjoisten koordinaattien minuuttien desimaaleihin saamasi luku kertaa kaksi sekä 48. Sammakkolammen pohjoinen koordinaatti on 60°25.xxx
Paimion kaupungin nettisivuilla kerrotaan, että Varasvuorella on K-55, K-30 ja K-8 muovitetut hyppyrimäet. Mäkien hoidosta huolehtii Paimion Urheilijat ry. Tarinan mukaan Matti Nykänen olisi leiskauttanut uransa viimeisen kilpahypyn tällä paikalla - ei uransa huippuvuosien tasoisesti.
2. koordinaatit ovat nämä: N60°27.092, E022°42.127. Ne vievät sinut penkille. Istu alas ja pohdi kuinka monta kilometriä Helsinkiin voisi olla. Lisää kilometrien määrä kertaa kaksi penkille johdattaneen itäisen koordinaattien minuuttien desimaaleihin. Lisää lukuun vielä 112. Saat tuloksi Sammakkolammen itäisen koordinaatin, joka on 022°43.xxx
Istumallasi penkillä on nähty erään kanssa-asukkaan istuvan hiustenkuivaaja ojossa (näyttää hieman tutkalta). Hän jopa onnistui peläyttämään Kaaritiellä ajaneet autot hidastamaan. Nopeusrajoitus on 50km/h, paljonko sinun kuivaimesi näyttää

3. Nyt voit etsiä Sammakkolampi-kätköä ja toivottavasti löydätkin. Kurnuttaja (perheemme pieneläinasiantuntija) on kertonut, että lammella on paljon erilaisia sammakoita, sudenkorentoja ja myös käärme on nähty. Olethan varovainen, ettet vahingoita viattomia luontokappaleita, siis varo askeleitasi!
Kätköltä katsoen lampi on Pohjois-luoteeseen noin 50 metriä.

This cache is a result of my and kurnuttaja´s cooperation and it is our first cache! There are three stages on the cache: two first ones are calculate tasks which take you to the actual cache that is to the Sammakkolampi (=Frog pond). The final cache is 1,5 liters big blue ice cream box. Cache and the tasks preceding it are recommended to be solved by bike, by foot or with a pogo stick. You can do it with a car too if you don´t have the stamina (the route is altogether around six kilometers). Rubber boots and a pill against fear of heights might be needed.
1st coordinates take you to the top of Varasvuori´s ski jumping hill and you will see the stairs to the ski jumping tower. When you climb from ground to the highest step, how many steps do you need to take (including landings)? NOTE: Count ALL the way up to the jump rack.
Add to the original northern coordinate´s minute´s decimals two times the number you counted and then 48. The northern coordinate to Sammakkolampi is 60°25.xxx
On the website of the city of Paimio it is told that there are K-55, K-30 and K-8 rubbery ski jumps on Varasvuori. Paimion Urheilijat ry. takes care of those ski jumps. According to a story Matti Nykänen jumped his last competition jump of his career on this spot – not like on his golden years.
2nd coordinates are these: N60°27.092, E022°42.127. They lead you to a bench. Sit down and think how many kilometers it could be to Helsinki.
Add two times the number of kilometers to the eastern coordinate´s minute´s decimals that led you to the bench. Add to that number 112. As a result you get the eastern coordinate to Sammakkolampi which is at 022°43.xxx
On the bench you are sitting on, there has been seen a person with a hair dryer extended (it looks a bit like a radar). She even managed to scare a few cars driving on the Kaaritie to slow down. Speed limit is 50km/h, how much does your hair dryer show ?
3. Now you can start looking for the Sammakkolampi-cache and hopefully you´ll find it. Kurnuttaja (our family´s small animal expert) has informed me that there are lots of different frogs, Odonatas and a snake has been spotted there. Please be careful not to harm innocent creatures, so watch your step!
From the cache the pond is about 50 metres to north northwest.
