This series of caches is designed to enhance caching opportunities as you travel from border to border across Arkansas interstates, where caching comes naturally! There are other caches at many of these exits, so feel free to expand your search and spend some time with us or stick to within 1/2 mile of the main drags! Some of the caches in this series will be of the simple "Park and Grab" variety, while others will be more difficult. Many of these caches will be micros, so grab your writing utensils, pack your bags, and head on down the super-slab to the NEXT EXIT in Caching Across Arkansas!
North Little Rock is home to Burns Park, one of the largest municipal parks in the United States (about 1600 acres and many caches). We also have over 25 smaller neighborhood parks and four community centers. Stop by and see what Burns Park has to offer.
This cache:
This FLAT cache is about 15 feet from the coordinates (cache is under an overhang - so I cound not get an accurate reading under the overhang) and contains a log sheet only and is accessible to wheelchairs (path is paved and is slightly downhill to the site). Please replace the cache in the same spot from which you retrieved it.
If you are traveling with little ones, there are a few playgrounds and picnic areas nearby. There is even a caboose and army tank nearby. If you are traveling with your dog, there is a dog park on the west side of the tennis center where can let "Fido" stretch his legs. You can find these and other areas of interest on a large map across the parking lot.
Please, DO NOT use THIS cache to log temporary caches from events - it skews the number of total finds and statistics we use for reports. Logs for temp caches from an event will be deleted.
