THe original "Rawsonville" cache was getting muggled too often, so it was upgraded, and relocated some distance away as a new cache.
The town that would eventually become Grafton was settled in 1817 by Jonathon and Grindall Rawson. Hey built a homestead on the hill overlooking the present Willow Park, directly across from the area in which this cache is hidden. THe settlement kept the name Rawsonville until 1877, when the name was changed to Grafton.
