-Tiki-: The cache owner has not logged into geocaching.com since 2007 and there are multiple no-finds. While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Geocache Description:

Sitting along the shores of beautiful Lime Lake. Are you ready to ramp up for the challenge of finding this one?

Lime Lake is one of the many small lakes located around the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The lake itself is warm, clean and has some good fishing. The sand bottom is void of rocks, therefore it’s great for swimming. The bottom slopes gradually on the east side of the lake until you get three or four hundred yards off then it drops suddenly. Some of the best fishing is right at the drop off, but only accessible by boat.
The north end of the lake has the remains of trees that were cut by a saw mill during the lumbering days. We are told that the mill workers would push the scrap wood out onto the ice. When the ice melted the wood would sink to the bottom where it has been for over 100 years. It is very cool to see.

Have fun with this cache and enjoy some of the things the area has to offer.
