Favorite fishing spots are most of the time held in top secret
and sometimes never ever shared. With this series of Geocaches, I
am going to share many of my favorite onshore fishing spots with
you. These are all locations along waterways that I have spent many
hours fishing on. All of these spots bring back wonderful childhood
memories of biking to the park and fishing until (sometimes past)
supper time. Some of the spots still produce excellent off-shore
fishing opportunities so you may just want to bring along your
pole. I will also share what kinds of fish you might expect to
cache (I mean catch!) at these locations. I will leave it up to you
to choose the bait or lure! Can't share every secret....
-------------------------
Smith park is one of our favorite secrets. Little -cheeto- and I
have spent many mornings and evenings fishing on the nearby dock
and along this shoreline. The water is always calm when it's rough
elsewhere. There are always hungry rock bass and small mouth waitin
to be caught! As a teenager, I remember coming here and catching
over 100 rock bass under the nearby walk-bridges! Beware, you may
catch quite a few weed bass here as well as some drift
wood.
Fish you may catch here include:
- Bluegill
- Pumpkinseed (sunfish)
- Perch
- Rock bass
- Small Mouth Bass
- Large Mouth Bass
- White Bass
You are looking for a Micro-sized container and you should bring
a pen to log your find. Please return the cache as you found it so
others will enjoy the hide.
Winter Friendliness Rating: Can get buried in
the snow.
Congratulations Sagasu on the FTF!
