I've been wanting to place a cache close to the Bay Bridge Toll
Plaza. This one is as close as I could get while remaining safe and
not raising any suspicions. It's about .2 miles from the toll plaza
on a side road that isn't used as much as you might think.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIND THIS CACHE FROM ROUTE 50! Use the
side roads, that's why they built them.
You might have to watch for muggles--especially the state police
type, since their barracks are just .2 miles down the road from
here. However, I stood at the cache location for 10 minutes and
only saw 7 cars. Meanwhile, hundreds were whizzing by less than a
few hundred feet away.
I've always liked looking at foreign coins when I travel. So,
I've stocked the cache with a few coins I've picked up along the
way: a dime from Cuba and a quarter and a nickle from Barbados.
Sign the log and feel free to trade coins.
I've also included a MAGC Pathtag for the First to Find and
Second to Find. The Military Association of Geocachers is a great
organization. You can find out more about it at http://www.militarycache.org.
PS. Whoever replaced the zip-lock baggie with a smaller one,
THANK YOU! (And, where do you find bags so small?)
