Hill Path – A Memorial to “sdarken’s” Minivan
On August 1st 2007, we published our cache, “Spawn #8 - Father of "Hill Path" (GC14M3E). We left the following description:
“Hill Path (street) starts next to Stefano’s Pizza. By the way, don’t be fooled by the maps that identify this path as a street. It is NOT a street! In fact, the real streets on this hill are extremely narrow with very little available parking. We recommend you start this short hike in the parking lot next to our cache “Elvis Meets The Music Man” (GC1237Q)”. These are the same instructions you will use to get to this cache, “Hill Path” (except the hike is getting longer now).
Here’s the deal. Some people follow instructions and others do not. On that same day, August 1st 2007, DaveNett was first to find and he followed the instructions perfectly (congrats DaveNett!). However, “sdarken” who arrived a short time later, did not follow the instructions. Thank goodness DaveNett left when he did as you will soon see. Although I must also congratulate sdarken on being second to find on Hill Path, it seems to have come at a great cost.
