Geocache Description:

This building was used by the colonists and later the Americans to store powder and ammunition during the American Revolution as well as the War of 1812. Soldiers and militia in this area used it well against their British enemies! Powder Houses like these aided early Americans in their struggle for Independence.

Park in the lot by the First Congregational Church on Old Post Road. Walk across the street and along Mt. Hope Street until a set of stairs is on your left. Follow the path up and the building will be in front of you.

Cache contains
  • a ready to go 35mm micro cache with a log, paper, and small pencil
  • a two dollar reward
  • some bicentennial quarters
  • and some other stuff

DO NOT TAKE THE PEN THAT I PUT IN THE CACHE! You can find a letterbox by the Powder House so look for it too.
