Watching from the front window, Tommy Wilson could hardly contain himself as the postman pulled up in front of his house. Patience is not a virtue for a 9 year old boy. It was hard for Tommy to sit in front of that window for the past three weeks, waiting and watching as the mailman place the usual stack of letters and bills in the mailbox. “Come on, Come on,” he would say quietly to himself each day as he waited for that special package to come. Today, as if on cue the mailman reached inside another mail bin and produced a plain cardboard box and placed it into the mailbox. “It’s here! It’s here!” Tommy screamed as he bolted out the front door making a beeline for the mailbox.

It took him almost all summer to eat the twelve boxes of Crunchy Cache Cereal and save up the $6.95 for postage and handling. But he did it and now he was in possession of his very own pair of Official Cache Man 3-D glasses. Now he could help Cache Man save the world from the evil Doctor NoFinds (DNF for short) and win a year’s supply of Cache Man’s, Crunchy Cache Cereal; at least according to the Official Crunchy Cache Cereal Contest that aired on the weekly TV series “The Adventures of Cache Man”.

“The Adventures of Cache Man” television series take place in a fictional town in the United States. The town hero is Cache Man. He gains his strength through eating “Crunchy Cache Cereal,” in combination with fruits and vegetables. Sugary foods make him ill and unable to lead an active lifestyle. He runs around town saving kids from predicaments and teaches them his simple message about leading a happy, healthy and active lifestyle. The children are kind-hearted and fun-loving, and each one exemplifies a childhood foible that will sometimes get him or her into trouble. If that were not enough, lurking in the shadows is Dr. NoFinds, creating his own turmoil in the small American town.

The antagonist of the show, Dr. NoFinds, is always trying to get the kids to eat junk food and give up healthy outdoor activities like geocaching. Dr. NoFinds is forever creating all sorts of plans to undermine Cache Man and his legion of Cache Cadets, and sometimes comes very close to winning. But in the end Cache Man always manages to prevail and save the day with the help of his Cache Cadet friends. Dr. NoFinds lives in a secret underground lair with a network of underground tunnels encompassing the entire earth. It is here that he often spies on families geocaching through his periscope; moving caches as they get close to ground zero.

Dr. NoFinds latest maniacal plot involves stealing the secret formula for Crunchy Cache Cereal and replacing it with his own heavily sugar-laced, non-nutritional cereal formula. With his plan in place, outdoor caching activities have come to a standstill. Cache Man’s legion of healthy caching kids have been reduced to sugar-laden couch potatoes. And unknowingly, the parents of the Cache Cadets have boycotted Cache Man and his products; driving him and his unhealthy ideals out of their town. With the imminent loss of Cache Man, the curtain closes on the last episode of “The Adventures of Cache Man”, Dr. NoFinds appears on the television, reveling in his victory….but wait…there is a brief bit of static on the screen and the voice of Cache Man can be heard, “I need your help Cache Cadets, we need to save the earth”. The sound of static is heard again and the voice of Cache Man is gone.

Has Cache Man really disappeared? Is the world doomed to an unhealthy lifestyle?

Tommy Wilson knew the answers to those questions. As the President of his local chapter of Cache Cadets, he had received a special message from Cache Man in the mail, two days after the last episode aired. In the letter it detailed that Cache Man was trying to locate the secret lair of Dr. NoFinds and needed the help of his Cache Cadets to locate him. To aid them in their mission, Crunchy Cache Cereal has offered a pair of Official Cache Man 3-D glasses to Cache Cadets. The first Cache Cadet who finds the secret location of Dr. NoFinds would win a year’s supply of Crunchy Cache Cereal.

Donning his new official pair of Cache Man 3-D Glasses, Tommy enters his bedroom and begins searching for Cache Man clues. With the 3-D glasses on he sees his room in a whole new light and quickly discovers the secret word that will unlock the mysterious message on the border of his 3-D glasses.

Your job, as a fellow Cache Cadet, is to find the secret word hidden in Tommy’s room and decipher the scrambled message on the border of the picture of Tommy's room. You do not need a pair of 3-D glasses to solve the puzzle. Good Luck Cadet, Cache Man is counting on you.

Congratulations to Cache Cadet Donbadabon on FTF. Also an honorable mention to Cache Cadet Gim&Me.
