Geocache Description:

One of five caches along the Santa Anita Fire Road, in the San Gabriel mountains. These caches range from about 0.5 to 3.5 miles hike from the Chantry parking lot and Pack Station. Altitude gained is 1400' to the highest/farthest cache.

Cache ALPHA is a camo-painted ammo can. It contains a large logbook (you can rant at the hider for sending you on this hike). It also contains a 'hand' for FTF, a nondescript brass ring, a top and a noisemaker obtained from spent Christmas crackers, an air token from a gas station near TJ's in South Pasadena and a science project - a small FM broadcaster (tuning screws inside).

After the plundering rush has subsided, relax and enjoy the view of the San Gabriel Valley, Arcadia, Pasadena.
