I wouldn't have spent all that time bushwhacking.
We saw this cool spot, and the trail looked as if it went right to it. It does kind of, but it peters out before you get there. To avoid the mess we got into stay to the left as you leave the good trail. Head toward the big pine tree and then stay under the oaks. You will see where someone has cut a few branches here and there.
Anyway it's a cool spot once you get there, watch for loose rocks, and check out the cave @ 40 19.564 122 54.619
The poison oak is unavoidable!
