Located in Red Rock Park, Topanga Canyon. Be prepared to do some very minor scrambling and non-technical climbing/bouldering.
There are some scratchy bushes so if you're sensitive long pants and sleeves are recommended.
Most of the year it gets pretty warm during the day. Early mornings and late afternoons are cooler.
Following the fire road will lead to you to caves and a natural arch which will lead you to this cache via coyote trails which are not always obvious to humans. But which trail is the right one? Choose wisely, O seeker of the cache.
This is TopangaHiker's first hide so considerable effort has been put into this cache. The cache is a repainted ammo box. FTF got a prize that's redeemable for something hot and caffeinated. There's was also a Travel Bug, a beautifully minted commemorative/fund raising coin from Moab, Utah and other useful and whimsical items.
When you get there spend some time enjoying the views.

A note about parking: In order to enter the park by car you must pay at an iron ranger located just before the entrance. You can park for free and enjoy a walk through the neighborhood which will add another 15 minutes or so to the find. Leave your vehicle near the intersection of Old Topanga Canyon and Red Rock Road and walk in.
Dogs are allowed on leash and I encourage you to bring your four legged companion in Red Rock but please know that the nearby state park is off limits to dogs. Please pick up after your dog by using the free poop bags that are dispensed at the trail head. Water is available and it is advised that you bring some on your search.
Even if you do not find the cache you will be rewarded with a nice hike in the Santa Monica Mountains.
