The pond is located within Veteran's Memorial Park. The pond was formed when the Barrington Brickworks went out of business years ago. On your way to the cache you will cross the East Bay Bike Path. It is 14 miles long and has some very beautiful sights. We strongly recommend that you geocache, then take advantage of the bike path. You can leave your car in the parking lot of the Barrington YMCA while you cycle. Suggest you head east along the path for the best views. Brickyard Pond does have fishing which requires a fresh water license. Also there is a leash law in Barrington, so if you take Fido he should be on a leash (we never do this, if caught I plan on pleading ignorance). Fine is $125. We have a Golden retreiver who loves to fetch anything in the water. For more info on the area visit www.ci.barrington.ri.us.
This is our first placement. We hope you enjoy it. All comments welcome. Pictures taken will be posted on our site, which is currently under construction but will soon be finished.
