A multi leg geocaching adventure that crosses two towns in the outer cape. If you like geocaching with a beautiful view and stopping at some points of interest along Shore Road (6A) then give this cache a go.....
This cache was inspired by several recent caching adventures where the challenge and thrill was in the hunt more so then in the find. This is a multi cache micro challenge and we mean challenge. Each cache container is different, and each is quite small, keep your eyes pealed and assume nothing!!!
The cache follows the Shuttle bus route, which during the summer months is a great way to get into P-Town from places in Wellfleet, Truro , and North Truro . It is conceivable to use the shuttle to get from cache location to location. The shuttle costs $1.00 for adults and $.50 for children to ride. We don’t suggest you walk the cache route. Even though some of the locations are close to each other, the total trip would make it difficult to hike.
Each leg stops at places along the outer cape that will allow you not only to cache but to also possibly shop a little. For such a little town there is quite a lot to do.
As you cache along you will get a nice tour of Shore Road (6A). (The view from the top of the hill is one of our favorites and we hope you enjoy it to.) If you have not done so, check out North Truro Treasures cache, which is along the way and Fore and Aft Motel which is not far from the final location
Please be mindful of the fact that the first three stages are in locations that are frequented by muggles and we ask that you use stealth when searching. Every part of the multi is kid friendly except for the last 50 or so feet of the final stage which may be a little difficult for children in the summer and fall months due to plant growth!!!
Don’t over think this cache…everything (except for the final stage which is an ammo can hidden in a traditional manner) is in plain sight!!! This is a challenge of stealth for the first three stages so all geocaching strategies apply - i.e. pretending to talk on your cell phone, cramp in your leg, etc. If you’re stuck or just need a hint…don’t hesitate to email…
