Welcome to the first cache in the Shopping Center Scrutiny
series: Sanderlin Place! I really didn't know much about
this center before today. Now, I know a whole lot of stuff; and,
after this cache, you will as well.
Legal: This is not a commercial cache! As much time as I
spent here creating this cache I couldn't even tell you all of the
stores and offices that make it up. So, rest assured that I am in
no way attempting to lead you to making purchases or contract
services from anyone here.
History
Plaza is a Spanish word related to "field" which
describes an open urban public space, such as a city square. All
through Spanish America, the plaza mayor of each center of
administration held three closely related institutions: the
cathedral, the cabildo or administrative center, which might be
incorporated in a wing of a governor's palace, and the audiencia or
law court. The plaza might be large enough to serve as a military
parade ground. At times of crisis or fiesta, it was the space where
a large crowd might gather. Like the Italian piazza, the plaza
remains a center of community life that is only equalled by the
market-place.
The Cache
All of the information that you will need to obtain comes from
this shopping center. Also, the cache container is located in the
center as well. So, although you won't have to drive far between
each of the questions to solve the puzzle, you may spend a little
time and gas driving around the center a couple of times to answer
them all.
The four corners of the shopping center are:
35' 07.103 / 089' 53.618
35' 07.090 / 089' 53.717
35' 07.039 / 089' 53.721
35' 07.038 / 089' 53.633
The bogus coordinates is about the middle of the center and can be
used to get you there.
The "borders" of the center are clearly discernible and there are
entrances on both Sanderlin Rd and South Mendenhall
Rd. There are no maybe's or trick questions here. The
answers are either in the plaza or they are not.
