seismic quark: As there has been no response from the cache owner, I am archiving this cache to remove it from search pages and to allow for new caches in this area.
If the cache owner addresses the issues that lead to archival and contacts me within a reasonable period of time (6-8 weeks), it may be possible to unarchive the cache.

We placed a tribute cache to the old Leeward winery.
Prior to May 1, 2007 Leeward was a working winery, in this industrial park for twenty five plus years, with a tasting room. Please see the sign on the street side of the building, it still states tasting hours. (It appears this sign has been removed.) If you click 'View Gallery' you can see it and perhaps a hint. This signs is all that remains.
Just the bouquet of toasty oak,
Reminds us of those wonderful folk.
With grapes, hard work and finery,
They made this a local Ventura winery.
For more than twenty-five years they toiled here,
To bring us great cheer. Wish they were still near.
Leeward made fine wine, they really took their time,
And now they are hard to find, and so we often whine.
Of this there can be no dispute,
So lift your wine glass in tribute.

We have restored this cache, albeit in a somewhat different location. It remains a tribute to the winery, and the new cache location still recognizes Leeward Winery. With all we have gone through for this cache it is really too bad the tasting room is not still open. :-). Please enjoy the new hide. Very high muggle area, especially those in cars that do not even fly.

The area where the cache is has been remodeled, and in the process they swiped the cache. So C went by today and placed a new one. We have changed the clue due to the restoration. Wish it were still Leeward.
