This cache has been archived.

inspicio: One or more of the following has occurred:

No response from the cache owner.
No cache to find or log to sign.
It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future, just contact a reviewer (by email), and assuming it still meets the current

guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.

Should you replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Geocache Description:

A new Travel Bug Motel to replace our first (visit link) which was unfortunately "redeveloped". Thankfully the cache was rescued by Konie, but since there was nowhere suitable to re-hide we've decided to build a new one that required a little less stealth to access, improved the accomodation size available and was more suitable for caching with the kids. :)

So here it is, just a few kilometres further South along the New England Highway than the original Motel, and not far from roads linking to Sydney via Cessnock, and West towards Dubbo along the Golden Highway.

There are a couple of ways to access the cache: Either by parking in an area just off the highway; or by detouring along the old section of road (more of a goat track now) see waypoints given below. The easiest access is for Northbound (West) travellers. Access for Southbound (East) motorists is made easier by there being an intersection with Bell Road near the start of the dual-carriageway at Belford 2km past the cache area to turn around safely at, and a rest area & intersection at the start of the Golden Highway just 1.5km to the North will allow you to head back towards the South.

A special thank-you again to Sarah, our interior designer, for another fantastic job fitting out this new motel for the guests. BodySteppingFreak may have some of the nicest cache decorations on the outside of containers in the Hunter but this will be one of the nicest interiors! Please note the interior fittings are not "swaps" :)

The Motel location should be fairly obvious to the experienced cacher near the GZ and mostly out of the view of passing motorists. A little stealth may still be required to not give away this most exclusive location :) There is a tall embankment / cliff alongside the highway but you should not need to go near that. This cache is much more suitable for kids / families than the previous motel.

The cache is in a ammo box which could be described as a largish regular size cache.

As with all caches, BYO pen is recommended.
