Just another way in to enjoy Hubbard Park if you start at the trail head near the parking coordinates.
You will be entering a portion of the park that is a deer yard. If you go with your geodog, please keep them under tight control. No dogs are allowed in this area when the deer are in their yard. This part of the park is more hilly with some interesting rock formations. Also please remember that the park is closed at night.
From the link to the trail map, you can see that it is possible to get here from the 7(?) fireplaces. I upped the difficulty of the hide by .5 because you will be working with a GPS in Hubbard Park. Sometimes a frustrating procedure. I had a fair amount of bounce while getting the coordinates but when you come to an area that makes you say “OK, it’s somewhere right there”, let your GPS calm down for a few minutes. Maybe even set it down.
There is only room for a few small trade items in the cache.
