Camoflaged Peanut Jar at the Historic Fort Owen.
This cache is at the site of Fort Owen, founded in 1850. This is a state park, without fee. The entry to the park is also the driveway to a beef ranch, and is really easy to miss. There is hardly a sign to let anyone know of its existence.
When visiting the fort, there are old fort buildings that can be toured in a self guided fashion. There is also an old frontier house, complete with furnishings to be seen. Take some time to explore while you are here.
When thinking of trade items, think small. We are starting this out with a few trinkets, as well as a TB.
The original cache got muggled. I replaced it, and moved it to a little better hide location. It is in better cover within the same area. It is now about 10' north of the original location.
