Geocache Description:

Level terrain. City streets and sidewalks.

Sam Giancana was a bad man…a very, very bad man.

His street name was ‘Momo’, given to him when he was a henchman for Al Capone. As Al’s ‘button man’, Momo was said to have put together the infamous ‘St. Valentines Day Massacre’.

As leader of the Chicago ‘Outfit’ years later, he’s also credited with giving Bugsy Siegal the bankroll to launch Las Vegas. He put together The Rat Pack; Frankie, Sammy, Dino and Joey, for the first time to do a commercial for a mobbed-up Chicago auto dealership. Some say he even orchestrated the Kennedy Assassination!

Giancana’s Mob retirement party was a small affair; just Momo and an unknown guest. In the basement of his Oak Park, Illinois home, Sam was sautéing escarole and Italian sausage when he was presented with the Mob’s equivalent to a Gold Watch:
Three .22 slugs in the back of the head.

This cache will bring you to Sam’s house in Oak Park (please don’t bother the present occupants). Note the terra-cotta roof tiles and the ornate ironwork details above the soffitt work; all imported direct from the finest artisans of Italy.

Attached, in the 'User's Web Page', is a link to a recipe for Sausage and Escarole, just like Momo used to make.
