I love George in the Spring Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

niffir: I looked all over in the general hide area today, but couldn't find any sign of the cache. It looks like the flooding earlier this year did wash away the container. Thanks to all who visited it over the years.

Geocache Description:

This Wheresgeorge themed cache is being placed in honor of a Wheresgeorge/geocaching event held at Cove Spring Park in September 2007. Trading of wheresgeorge and money-themed items is encouraged, but not required.

I first learned about geocaching from my participation in another great hobby -- wheresgeorge (www.wheresgeorge.com). Over the years, many geogeorgers have emerged from georgers learning about caching through forums and notes on their bills or cachers discovering a wheresgeorge dollar in a cache.

On September 8, 2007, we brought together people from both hobbies for a day of food, georging, and caching. This cache was assembled to celebrate that day and to spread interest in wheresgeorge among local cachers.

The cache is a small ammo can located near one of the trails in lovely Cove Spring Park. I didn't observe any poison ivy around while placing the cache and didn't have to do any significant bush-whacking. The container started with many items including wheresgeorge stamps, money themed items, a niffir duck from the MWGB, and some crafts items for kids.
