Scouting Paradise Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

WardCrew: Property was sold to a new owner over a month ago - without letting me know!

Another Scout Camp gone the way of so many others: just memories, no future possibilities, just for the profit money-hungry land sellers. [V]

Geocache Description:

A cache only a Scout could love! Bring a book and your lunch - this is a great place for some quiet time alone with nature. Trailhead and parking spot is at N42 32.883, W75 36.087. Parking must be off the road as much as possible.

This property was donated to the surrounding communities in the 1960's to be "...forever owned and used by the local Boy Scouts...". Countless Camporees were held in these woods through the early 1990’s. You can almost smell the campfires and hear the voices of the thousands of local Scouts who enjoyed using this land for almost four decades! Although this cache is on Posted property, permission to enter has been granted to all geocachers by BSA District Executive, Chris Wilkinson. The road near the trailhead is SEASONAL - no plowing is done from Dec. 1 to Apr. 1 - be prepared to ski or snowshoe in during the winter.
