Old logging road in the Pickerel Lake area (half way between Kenora and Minaki). Quad or dirtbike recommended.
Follow highway 596 from Kenora towards Minaki, turning first onto Pickerel Lake road, then Little Pickerel. The Little Pickerel Lake camp road ends in a branching logging road, starting to be overgrown in places.
Cache is about 5 miles in the logging road: quad or dirtbike recommended. Trail is overgrown from the sides in many places: too narrow for a regular truck to pass
At the coords is a small mud flat that usually is full of deer tracks. Directly ahead of where the trail breaks into the clearing is a small line of high grass along a big sheet of flat rock. Cache is marked with 2 pieces of orange flagging tape standing beside a large root on that flat rock, and partially covered with small boulders to keep it in place. Logbook and small treasure enclosed in a 6" plastic tub.
